Augsburg skipper Verhaegh suffers calf tear
Augsburg - FC Augsburg will have to do without the services of captain for the foreseeable future after the Dutch right-back tore his left calf in Sunday's 2-2 draw at home to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Augsburg medical staff say the injury is serious, although a further examination will take place on Tuesday to determine the extent of the problem. Six weeks is nevertheless the projected lay-off period in the circumstances.
31-year-old Verhaegh has been central to the fourth-placed Fuggerstädter's efforts this season, starting every game as well as chipping in with five goals and one assist.
