Dortmund - Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that veteran midfielder Sebastian Kehl will be out for four weeks with a separated shoulder.

Großkreutz likely to be fit for restart

The 34-year-old, who is set to call time on his career at the end of the current campaign, suffered the injury following a collision involving team-mate Mats Hummels during the five-time champions' 1-0 win over FC Steaua Bucuresti in La Manga during the club's Spanish training camp on Saturday.

In the latest setback to befall Jürgen Klopp’s struggling side, the acromioclavicular separation in Kehl's left shoulder could result in the former captain being unavailable for selection in the opening fives games of the second half of the season.

Dortmund had confirmed earlier this week that 2014 FIFA World Cup winner Kevin Großkreutz tore ankle ligaments in the same friendly match, but are confident that the utility man will be fit in time to face Bayer 04 Leverkusen on 31 January for BVB's season restart.
