Braunschweig - Seung-Woo Ryu scored his first goal in German football as Eintracht Braunschweig beat VfR Aalen 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.

The Bayer 04 Leverkusen loanee opened the scoring in the 32nd minute after a mistake on the halfway line from Aalen's Nejmeddin Daghfous. Mirko Boland snapped up the loose ball and got the better of visiting goalkeeper Daniel Bernhardt, before selflessly squaring for the unmarked Ryu to stroke into the empty net.

The South Korean should have added another late in the half, and was duly punished for that miss on the hour-mark when Andreas Ludwig fired in the equaliser. Eintracht substitute Dennis Kruppke restored his side's lead with 18 minutes still to play, and although Aalen put up far more resistance than they did in before the interval, the hosts were good value for all three points.
