Frankfurt - VfB Stuttgart striker faces an indefinite spell on the sidelines after the club revealed the Bosnian international to have suffered a stress fracture in his right foot.

"Injuries are part and parcel of the game," explained the 30-year-old. "I'd have gladly helped the team in our upcoming games, but I'm going to have to be patient and wait until I'm fit again. I hope I can return as quickly as possible."

Ibisevic, who is yet to score this season, watched on as Stuttgart recorded a remarkable 5-4 win away to Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday afternoon.
