Thiago operation a success
Barcelona - Spanish international midfielder Thiago Alcantara has undergone a successful operation on his injured right knee, Bundesliga reigning champions FC Bayern München confirmed on Thursday afternoon.
Torrid time for Thiago
Club team doctor Lutz Hänsel was on hand to observe the procedure, which was completed with no further complications.
23-year-old Thiago tore ligaments in his right knee for the third time in his career having just recently returned to first-team training following an injury of similar severity. “No one knows why he’s injured again,” claimed Bayern head coach Pep Guardiola. “All of us, the coaches, physios, doctors, we all did everything right.” Thiago will now be out of action for several months after going under Dr. Ramon Cuga’s knife.
