Munich - FC Bayern München reserve goalkeeper will be out of action for "several weeks" after sustaining a muscle injury in his left calf on Monday evening.

The 32-year-old was substituted after just five minutes of Bayern's friendly match in the 'Paulaner Cup' against a side made up of fans in Unterhaching, in the south of Munich. While attempting to make a clearance from the edge of his penalty area, the keeper pulled up in pain and was subsequently replaced by Tom Starke. After undergoing an examination by the club's medical department, Bayern tweeted out the news on Tuesday morning, before wishing their No23 a swift recovery:
