Wolfsburg - VfL Wolfsburg's 4-1 defeat to Everton FC in the UEFA Europa League was wiped from the slate with a victory by the same scoreline against Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Bundesliga Matchday 4.

VfL Wolfsburg

bundesliga.com wraps up the post-match reaction from the Volkswagen Arena...

Ricardo Rodriguez: Both were very important goals, but the second was certainly more beautiful. I took it down very well, but it was a great ball from Kevin [De Bruyne]. We've not changed anything. The coach found the same words as usual and this time we responded, and this is how things have now got to continue.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen

Gonzalo Castro: We were doing ok until they made it 2-1, but then Wolfsburg have quality and you've got to acknowledge that. We got a red card after seven minutes and that changed the game. I think we did well against Bremen [on Matchday 3], we just didn't get the win, but today's game was completely different.

Josip Drmic: It's very hard with ten men and conceding that stupid goal before the break didn't help. We tried in the second half and gave our all, but then we let in another stupid goal. I don't know what we've got to do better. We believed in ourselves and gave all we had, but Wolfsburg were better and with ten men it was always going to be difficult for us. We've got to put this behind us as quickly as we can and turn our attentions to our next game.
