Slomka and Hamburg go separate ways
Hamburg - Hamburger SV press spokesman Jörn Wolf has confirmed head coach Mirko Slomka has left the club.
The 47-year-old, who was appointed in February, steered the northerners to top-flight safety by way of the relegation play-offs in 2013/14, but departs with the self-styled Bundesliga dinosaurs winless and bottom of the standings after three games of the new campaign.
Hamburg will discuss his dismissal in greater detail on Tuesday morning.
