is on hand to round up the players' post-match thoughts...

Shinji Kagawa

: The fans gave me a warm-hearted and fantastic welcome before the game had even kicked-off. I really wanted to win today and I’m delighted that we pulled it off. I had goosebumps throughout the entire match. We’ve got a diverse squad, who play at a very high level. If we work really well together, if we play really well together then we can be a force to be reckoned with.

Sebastian Kehl

: Shinji has done us a world of good, especially considering our current personnel situation. That he’s then able to score a goal - something like that only happens in football. However, we also saw that he still needs a bit of time. When he left the pitch after 60 minutes he was absolutely spent. He’s going to have to catch up a bit to be able to keep up with the pace we play at.

SC Freiburg

Roman Bürki

: I’d only be happy conceding three times if we scored four, but we knew that we wouldn’t score four goals here, which is why we tried to preserve our clean sheet for as long as possible. Unfortunately we weren’t able to do so in the closing stages of the first half. It was difficult, of course, but we gave everything and at least came away with a goal.
