is on hand to round up the players' post-match thoughts...

Xabi Alonso

: It was arduous. Of course we mastered proceedings, but up until the opening goal that were a few minutes in which we weren’t that great. In the second half we raised our game. We knew that Stuttgart would begin to sense an opportunity. We were a little calmer after we made it 2-0. We’re gradually improving, but at the forefront was picking up three points.

Franck Ribery

: For me personally it was important to be back with the team. Today, I’m happy that I was able to play and that I got on the score sheet straight away. For the team it was crucial that we picked up all three points.

VfB Stuttgart

Martin Harnik

: We failed to make anything count going forward today. We defended bravely, ran a lot and, as always in Munich, had very little possession. Bayern were cool in playing the game out and when they had chances, they took them. When we won the ball we gave it away again far too quickly.

Moritz Leitner

: It’s difficult to score goals in Munich. We tried to be courageous in moving the ball forward. Sometimes it came off, other times it didn’t. I think we’ve now got to start preparing ourselves for the next match and put our foot on the throttle.
