Jam-packed schedule for Metzelder on Legends Tour
Beijing - Christoph Metzelder has been speaking to the Chinese media on Thursday as part of his role in the first ever Bundesliga Legends Tour.
Busy schedule
Metzelder, who represented FC Schalke 04 and Borussia Dortmund during his career, spoke with several members of the press during a media breakfast in Beijing, before giving four separate one-on-one interviews.
Later on Thursday, Metzelder visited the Netease studios, one of the biggest up-and-coming internet enterprises in China with over 300 million registered users, to take part in the Netease Football Talk show, of one of the most popular football programmes in online-TV.
He also gave an exclusive interview for local broadcaster BTV, which reaches 30-35 million people in the greater metropolitan area of Beijing, before returning to his hotel, where scores of fans have waited each day for a spontaneous autograph.
Bundesliga representative
The 2002 World Cup winner will be in China until 31 August to meet fans on behalf of the Bundesliga, giving supporters the unique opportunity to get to know one of the biggest stars in German top-flight history and taste for themselves what makes the division one of the most revered leagues in the world.
The 47-time Germany international, who now works as a television pundit, will also visit a primary school for children of migrant workers in Huangzhuang during his five-day stay.
