Donaueschingen - VfL Wolfsburg right-back Sebastian Jung is likely to be out for several weeks after suffering a groin injury at the Wolves' pre-season training camp in Donaueschingen.

The 24-year-old, who joined VfL Wolfsburg on a four-year contract from Bundesliga rivals Eintracht Frankfurt earlier this year, picked up the injury in training on Friday and will now complete an individual programme in an attempt to be fit for the start of the season.

Jung made 163 appearances in all competitions for Frankfurt before signing for Wolfsburg at the end of last season. He made his international debut in Germany's friendly with Poland in May, but missed out on a place in Joachim Löw's 2014 World Cup squad.
