Köln - Kazuki Nagasawa faces an indefinite spell on the sidelines after tearing the medial ligament in his left knee during 1. FC Köln's pre-season win over a Burgenlandes XI.

The 22-year-old Japanese midfielder, who joined the Rhineland club in January from Yokohama F. Marinos, will undergo an MRI scan on Wednesday, but it is not thought he will require surgery.
