Braunschweig - 25-year-old Iranian goalkeeper Daniel Davari has been snapped up from recently-relegated Eintracht Braunschweig by Swiss top-flight runners up Grasshoppers Club as a replacement for SC Freiburg-bound Roman Bürki.

The Swiss club announced on Thursday that the deal had been completed with Davari being handed a two-year contract with the capital city side, coached by former Borussia Dortmund, Bayer 04 Lverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt and Hertha Berlin boss Michael Skibbe. “With Davari we’ll have a stable goalkeeper, who also has the potential to develop further, within our ranks,” said Skibbe.
