Naldo commits until 2016
Wolfsburg - VfL Wolfsburg have extended the contract of defensive lynchpin until 2016.
'I'm really pleased'
The 31-year-old, who arrived from Werder Bremen in the summer of 2012, is looking forward to the future in Wolfsburg after committing to his new deal.
"I want to carry on being successful with Wolfsburg," the Brazilian centre-back said. "Wolfsburg have shown a huge amount of faith in me and I would like to give something back to them. "My family and I are very happy in Wolfsburg, which is why I'm really pleased about signing this new contract."
Naldo has made a total of 247 Bundesliga appearances since arriving from EC Juventude in 2005, including 74 for the Wolves. "Naldo's a leading personality in our side and he's shown over the course of the season how important he is to the younger players as well," said Bremen's sporting director Klaus Allofs. "After extending Ivica Olic's contract, this is another important decision for the squad."
