DFL President to hand title to champions Bayern on final day
Frankfurt - Together with DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH Chief Executive Officer Christian Seifert and DFL Chief Operating Officer Andreas Rettig, DFL President Dr. Reinhard Rauball will present Bundesliga champions FC Bayern München with the coveted Meisterschale on Matchday 34.
The Bavarians will receive the championship following their final league game of the 2013/14 campaign against VfB Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, 10 May.
The 11-kilogramme plate was created by goldsmith Elisabeth Treskow at Cologne's professional college in 1949 to replace the 'Viktoria' trophy, which went missing at the end of World War II.
The champions' name has already been engraved on the plate alongside the denominations of all previous winners since 1903.
