Munich - Following his straight red card in Saturday's 3-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund, FC Bayern München right-back Rafinha has been handed a three-match ban for violent conduct.

The 28-year-old was involved in an altercation with BVB midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and will now miss the champions' upcoming Bundesliga assignments against Eintracht Braunschweig, SV Werder Bremen and Hamburger SV, but will return for the final game of the season at home to VfB Stuttgart.

The Brazilian international has enjoyed somewhat of a renaissance under Pep Guardiola in 2013/14, making 27 league appearances so far this term.
