Hanover - Sebastian Prödl's last-minute winner at Hannover 96 rounded out Matchday 28 in dramatic fashion on Sunday.

Werder Bremen

Here's what a couple of protagonists from either camp had to say about the
outcome of the meeting between these northern rivals, both still far from free of the spectre of relegation:

Sebastian Prödl: We can be really pleased with the way we played today and I think we've sent out a message. I think we were the better team today. Gladbach's win really gave us motivation.

Aaron Hunt: We always believed we could win the game even after going behind. I think we were the better team.

Christian Schulz: We let them play and made things difficult for ourselves, we can't afford to do that in our position. It's a horrible day for us, losing in that way. A win would have done us the world of good. We have to beat Braunschweig now. It's a derby game, so we want to do it for the city and the fans.

Lars Stindl: It's a tough way for us to lose but we let them take the initiative. We scored at a good time but we could have done more in the second half and ended up making it difficult for ourselves. The Braunschweig game is massive now.
