Mainz - Bastian Schweinsteiger revealed just how tough deep FC Bayern München needed to dig to grind out a 2-0 win at 1. FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday afternoon. For the hosts' Maxim Choupo-Moting, on the other hand, it was a case of what might have been after a battling performance.

bundesliga.com rounds up the post-match reaction from the Coface Arena...

Bastian Schweinsteiger: It's always hard to win here in Mainz. They're a very aggressive side and press really high up the pitch. The first half was tough but towards the end they got tired and we were better in the second half. We don't really mind when we win the league, we just want to stay in this kind of form.

Jerome Boateng: The most important thing is that we've won and are a step closer to winning the title. It would be amazing if we could win the league in Berlin - it's where everything started for me. We've set ourselves up for that today.

Maxim Choupo-Moting: Obviously we're disappointed because we could have at least got a point today. We put in a really strong performance. We need to move on as quickly as possible as we've got another match on Tuesday. We need to recharge our batteries.

Christoph Moritz: We're very disappointed. We did a really good job today, but we probably should have done more with the possession we had.
