Frankfurt - SC Freiburg could hardly have timed their highest away win in the Bundesliga since 2009 much better as they put four past Frankfurt and boosted their survival hopes against all odds at the Commerzbank Arena.

bundesliga.com rounds up the post-match reaction...

Admir Mehmedi: It's perfect. I couldn't have wished for a better birthday present than these points. My misses were ridiculous, but at least I can laugh about them now – I'll make up for it next week. Certainly we had a bit of luck, but that's part of football. There have been many times this season when we've not had any luck, so we were overdue some today. We were ice-cool with our chances, and if I'd taken my two, we could have won 6-1, but we're happy with a 4-1. We are back – this was a big statement.

Karim Guede: We've got to keep our feet on the ground and keep going. It was a step in the right direction, but no more than that if we don't do the same again next week. We showed our morale and we never give up. We believe in ourselves. I looked at the clock in the 85th minute and said to myself 'go on, give it one last push for five minutes', and I was rewarded.

Julian Schuster: I'm delighted we picked up the three points. My goal gave us more belief and greater stability.

Jan Rosenthal: When you miss ten great chances then that starts to unsettle you. Then we conceded the second early in the second half and in the end we just fell apart. It's now going to be very tight for both teams. This was a life-saving win for Freiburg, and we've gifted it to them.
