Bremen - SV Werder Bremen are likely to be without defender for several weeks after the 25-year-old suffered a partial tear to ligaments in his right knee during training this week.

The club's chief medical officer Dr. Götz Dimanski confirmed the extent of the injury on Wednesday upon examination. As yet there is no word on when the Argentine will return to action.

Garcia has become a key first-team player under coach Robin Dutt this season, making 15 appearances and scoring two goals since joining on loan from US Citta di Palermo last summer.
