Munich - Arjen Robben claimed it was "one of the best first halves I've seen" after FC Bayern München's crushing 5-1 win against FC Schalke 04 on Matchday 23. For the visitors, meanwhile, it was another demoralising loss after they shipped six against Real Madrid CF in the UEFA Champions League this week.

bundesliga.com rounds up the post-match reaction..

FC Bayern München

Arjen Robben: It was one of the best first halves I've seen since I've been here. We were aggressive and didn't let them play. We want to stay in this form, we're playing with so much passion. We want to carry that on in the Champions League. Manuel Neuer took the match ball into the dressing room but I've got it back now!

FC Schalke 04

Benedikt Höwedes: We made a lot of errors but our biggest problem was that we showed Bayern far too much respect. It wasn't as bad as Real Madrid, but we just made a lot of mistakes and they were punished ruthlessly.

Ralf Fährmann: We're all disappointed. We need to stand up and be counted, we didn't stick to our plan. There's nothing better than playing against Bayern here, but we didn't deliver. Every single one of us needs to take at look at himself.
