Hasebe set for second operation
Tokyo - 1. FC Nürnberg midfielder will undergo a second operation on his injured right knee on Friday.
The Japanese international, who tore the outer medial ligament in his right knee during a mid-season friendly with FC Steaua Bucuresti in January, underwent surgery on the injury by the Japan national team doctor last month.
However, after returning to Tokyo to undergo further tests on Thursday, the 30-year-old will now go under the knife for the second time in the space of two months. Nürnberg are yet to confirm how long Hasebe will be sidelined, but the former former VfL Wolfsburg player is likely to be out for several weeks.
