Augsburg - Josip Drmic felt patience was the key to 1. FC Nürnberg's victory over Bavarian rivals FC Augsburg on Sunday, while Daniel Baier was left to rue FCA's profligacy in front of goal in the closing stages of the game.

1. FC Nürnberg

bundesliga.com rounds-up what the players had to say at the final whistle.: We had to be patient today and wait for Augsburg to make a mistake. That’s what we did and we made the most of our opportunity. [Switzerland head coach] Ottmar Hitzfeld has written to me, he's congratulated me when I scored.

: We had a little bit of luck today that was perhaps missing against FC Bayern [München] last week, but I thought we played very well and restricted Augsburg to very few chances, even though we didn’t create an awful lot ourselves. We were a bit more threatening in the second half, even though Augsburg put us under intense pressure towards the end. You can see how confident they are at the moment.

FC Augsburg

: Nürnberg were very strong today. We couldn’t really find a way to dominate possession and Nürnberg managed to keep the ball well - you have to give them credit for that. We didn’t have enough chances today, that’s why we lost. If you’re up against opponents that defend as high up the field as Nürnberg did today, you’re going to find it hard to keep possession, which is what happened today.
