Zurich - Three FC Bayern München players have earned a berth in the 2013 FIFA FIFPro World XI.

Neuer proud

Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, skipper Philipp Lahm and attacking midfielder Franck Ribery were all named in the global superteam in the wake of a year of unprecedented success for FC Bayern.

Neuer played a key part in the Bavarians' treble-winning 2012/13 campaign, conceding a record low 18 goals in the Bundesliga. “As a young player you dream of becoming a professional," the Germany No1 said. "You progress in small steps and maybe make it into the national team at some point. You have fewer personal targets after that, which is why it’s such a great honour for me to be voted into the World XI and to be mentioned in the same breath as other great goalkeepers."

FCB and France winger Ribery, who was also in the race for the FIFA World Player of the Year award, earned his place in the World XI's midfield, while Bayern captain Lahm was named as one of four defenders.

The FIFA FIFPro World XI in full: Manuel Neuer (FC Bayern München) - Dani Alves (FC Barcelona), Philipp Lahm (FC Bayern München), Thiago Silva (Paris St-Germain FC), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid CF) - Xavi (FC Barcelona), Andres Iniesta (FC Barcelona), Franck Ribery (FC Bayern München) - Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid CF), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Paris St-Germain FC), Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona)
