Mainz sign keeper Kresic
Mainz - 1. FSV Mainz 05 have signed Croatian goalkeeper Dario Kresic on a free transfer from Russian outfit FC Lokomotiv Moskva.
The 29-year-old, who made his debut for his home country in a friendly against South Korea in September, has signed a contract with der Karnevalverein until the end of the season, with an option to extend it by a further two years.
Kresic has had previous footballing experiences in Germany, having been on the books at VfB Stuttgart as a youngster and played for Eintracht Trier in Bundesliga 2 between 2003 and 2006. He then spent six years in Greece with Panionios GSS and PAOK FC before moving to Russia in 2012.
