Frankfurt - They year 2013 in the Bundesliga ended for both Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Augsburg with a point each in their Matchday 17 clash at the Commerzbank Arena.

Eintracht Frankfurt

After the final whistle, the exertions of the first five months of the campaign were written all over the faces of the protagonists, who summoned up some last drops of energy to give their thoughts, brought to you by bundesliga.com

Johannes Flum: We were better in the first half, but we struggled a lot going forwards in the second half and didn't play enough football. It was a different game against Leverkusen – we had our backs to the wall there whereas we had to do all of the running today. Overall, we've not done enough so far this season in the Bundesliga. We've only got 15 points, but we've got more quality and we've definitely got to improve.

Jan Rosenthal: I think we just did too little in the second half. Our game was too static, we played too many long balls and Augsburg defended well. We should have decided it in the first half, but a draw's fair enough in the end. We now need this winter break desperately. We didn't have the energy to force a win today.

FC Augsburg

Halil Altintop: This was like a relegation battle today. Nobody wanted to lose, which is why both sides, particularly Frankfurt, were very cautious. I think we would have deserved it if we'd won.

Marwin Hitz: Of course we wanted to win the game, but for the last 20 minutes of the first half, we were under a lot of pressure. We should have put away the late chance we had late on and taken the three points away with us. Now we can take a rest for a while.
