Franck Ribery and David Alaba are not only best friends on-field, but off the pitch too. In a revealing interview with Sport Bild, Ribery confessed that when Alaba arrived at Bayern at the age of 18 in 2011 "he stared at the watches and the cars". The Frenchman told the young Austrian to "concentrate - time is on your side". The results can be seen every week as Alaba has developed into one of the world's best left-backs. "His father came and thanked me," added Ribery. "He told me how happy he was that I was able to help David." Cute.
