Leverkusen - A day of firsts. Bayer 04 Leverkusen's first home loss of the Bundesliga campaign and Eintracht Frankfurt's first win since Matchday 5’s triumph over SV Werder Bremen.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen

bundesliga.com overheard the key players' reactions to a momentous day in the BayArena...

Simon Rolfes: It's definitely an annoying defeat. It was just so unneccesary, because it could have been avoided if we'd performed well. We didn't and we have to grin and bear it now.

Emre Can: We didn't start very well today, but again we improved in the second period. We lacked a touch of composure in front of goal. Tiredness can't really be an excuse, it's been a tough first half of the season for sure, but Eintracht played on Thursday.

Gonzalo Castro: We weren't ourselves in the first-half, we didn't create enough chances but we moved the ball a bit faster in the second half. All in all, I'd say Frankfurt deserved the win. We're pretty proud of what we've done so far this season - we've got an important home game against VfL Wolfsburg next week to try and close the first half on a high.

Eintracht Frankfurt

Marco Russ: It's a bit of a relief to be three points better off. It's great to add to an excellent Europa League performance with a win in Leverkusen, I really hope we can use the momentum from today's performance and take it into the last game of the year - which would send us into the winter break a bit calmer.
