Munich - Mario Götze's attentions were firmly focused on the FIFA Club World Cup Morocco 2013 after FC Bayern München's victory over Hamburger SV secured top spot in the Bundesliga going into the winter break.

Bayern captain Philipp Lahm seemed determined to get his hands on yet another trophy in North Africa later this month, while Hamburg's players didn't appear too downhearted following the defeat to Pep Guardiola's team.

bundesliga.com rounds up what the players had to say after the match at the Allianz Arena.

Mario Götze: It wasn't easy today against Hamburg, who defended very deeply. The opening goal was very important for us. We got a little bit nervous after their goal, but I think we can be pretty pleased with the result. None of us have ever been to the Club World Cup. We're looking forward to it and we want to do the best we can at the tournament.

Philipp Lahm: It's the result of many years of hard work, and we've been rewarded this year with four titles. We're not finished yet, though. We still have high hopes for next week. We'll give it our best to ensure we win our next trophy, and then we can be happy with this year. We want to be just as successful next year.

Hamburger SV

Rafael van der Vaart: We knew it would be a difficult game, but we didn't want to make life easy for Bayern. We kept our defensive shape and managed to create several chances, particularly in the second half. We didn't crumble after Bayern's goals, but kept playing and managed to get back into the game. We took risks towards the end and, unfortunately, conceded another goal.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga: I was hoping our goal would spark a comeback, but Bayern's class really shone through in the final stages. They didn't allow us to get back into the game and prevented us from finding an equaliser. Ultimately, they deserved to win, but we gave a good account of ourselves.
