Bochum - 1. FC Union Berlin climbed to fourth in the Bundesliga 2 table with a comfortable 4-0 win over VfL Bochum 1948 at the Rewirpowerstadion.

Christopher Quiring, making his full debut for the capital club, gave the visitors the lead after just 13 minutes when he slotted past Bochum keeper Andreas Luthe following a marauding solo run. The 23-year-old then doubled his tally for the afternoon nine minutes before half-time with another composed finish.

The visitors continued to dominate proceedings and soon gained further reward when striker Simon Terodde extended the guests' lead only two minutes after the restart. Benjamin Köhler completed the scoring for Union to help Uwe Neuhaus' men move level on points with third-placed 1. FC Kaiserslautern, while Bochum slip down to twelfth.
