Munich - Off the Ball, bundesliga.com’s daily weekday feature, brings you another dose of the weird and wonderful tales to have emerged from Germany's top flight.

Today, we look at the latest FC Bayern München player to pick up a national award, review a 'Movember' masterpiece and check in with the Kevin-Prince Boateng household...

Precocious FC Bayern München talent Pierre Hojbjerg has been awarded the prize for Young Player of the Year back in his native Denmark. The 18-year-old became the youngest player (17 years and 251 days) in the club's history to pull on the famous red shirt of Bayern against 1. FC Nürnberg towards the end of last season and warmed the bench this past weekend in the Matchday 14 win over Eintracht Braunschweig.

Three mo-tastic portraits of FC Schalke 04 midfielder Roman Neustädter have been put up for sale, with all proceeds going to a good cause. The 25-year-old did away with his razor this past month to raise awareness for men’s health issues such as prostate cancer, triggering an epidemic of 'Movember' envy with this splendid handle bar effort (right). We'll sure be sad to see it go.

And finally, Schalke's Kevin-Prince Boateng took to Twitter this morning to deliver the news that he and fiancee Melissa Satta are expecting their first child. The Royal Blues favourite duly followed up the joyful tweet with a trendy selfie of the expectant couple. Now I know what you're thinking: they could be Germany's answer to Posh and Becks. Reality TV gold in the making, or what?!
