Hamburg - Hamburger SV picked up only their second home victory of the season, and their first under Bert van Marwijk, against Hannover 96 on Sunday. The visitors meanwhile have now lost all six away games in the league this season and taken just two points from their last seven outings.

bundesliga.com has some post-match reflections on the northern tussle.

Maximilian Beister: It was far from perfect, especially at the start you could see we were a bit uncertain. But we battled our way into the game and I think all-in-all we were good value for a 3-1 win in the end. We were clearly the better the side after the break and that's what we would have been looking for going into the match.

Rene Adler: Three points at home again, it's a good feeling. We kept it very tight at the back, Hannover pack a real punch up front but we worked our way into the match well and the win was thoroughly deserved.

Ron-Robert Zieler: We're drifting into a pretty dangerous situation and we're just going to have to get through it. We needed a win here to give ourselves a bit of breathing space and we didn't get it. The situation hasn't improved and now we have to ensure we take a few points from the last four games before the winter break.
