Dortmund - Borussia Dortmund defender has successfully undergone an operation on his right knee.

The reconstruction of the intraarticular ligament and the posterior capsule, which took place at the Isar-Park hospital in Plattling on Wednesday, went smoothly, the club said in a statement.

Subotic tore his posterior cruciate ligament following a challenge with Ivica Olic in BVB's Matchday 12 defeat at VfL Wolfsburg last weekend. A decision on whether the ligament will also need to be operated on will be made in two months' time.
