Freiburg - VfB Stuttgart prevailed 3-1 in a closely-fought, wet and windy Baden-Württemberg derby against SC Freiburg for their first win in four, but the hosts remained without a win on their own turf all season.

bundesliga.com rounded up the protagonists' nuggets of thought after the game....

Vedad Ibisevic: It was important to react after the collapse in Dortmund, which had made it a difficult, pressured week for us. We were very well-disciplined and took our chances. It's nice to go into the international break with a win.

Daniel Schwaab: This win feels especially good after the last four games without three points. We were very involved right from the word 'go' and took the game by the scruff of the neck. Our individual play was as spot on as our tactics.

Christian Gentner: It was important again to pick up three points and take a step forward. We were aggressive and involved right from the first minute despite the awful weather conditions. We relaxed a little bit unneccessarily in the second half, but the win was certainly deserved.

Mike Hanke: Every week we seem to have to rotate due to injuries and suspensions, which really takes its toll, especially with continental games in midweek. We haven't started the season well, it's taken time to adjust.
