bundesliga.com overheard what the key players had to say after the match...

Franck Ribery*: The second goal was important for myself and the team. We did well, were very aggressive and played better than last time out. The next game against Borussia Dortmund is vital for us. It's a great chance to build a lead at the top and extend our record.

Jerome Boateng: Obviously I'm delighted about the goal, and that we've broken a record. Congratulations to the club, and a special shout-out to Jupp Heynckes, architect of last season's success. We played excellently today and can be very happy. The record itself wasn't really a topic of discussion for us. Our focus was purely on the game and wanting to win, which we managed, and we can celebrate the record on top of that.

FC Augsburg

Daniel Baier: After an early setback we actually did pretty well, but then we conceded through the free-kick to make it 2-0. We didn't counter-attack well enough in the second-half and lost comfortably.
