Pilar makes comeback after 14-month layoff
Freiburg - SC Freiburg winger Vaclav Pilar has made his long-awaited comeback from a ruptured cruciate ligament.
Double boost
The 25-year-old picked up the injury during a friendly for Czech Republic against Ukraine on 15th August 2012, and Freiburg's 1-1 friendly draw against Bundesliga 2 side SV Sandhausen on Friday marked his first game for almost 14 months.
Meanwhile, centre-half Vegar Hedenstad also returned after being unavailable since July with an abductor problem.
The pair's availability will be a welcome tonic for a Freiburg side sitting in 17th place in the Bundesliga table.
