Sinsheim - 1899 Hoffenheim midfielder Roberto Firmino will miss Sunday's Matchday 5 fixture against Borussia Mönchengladbach after sustaining an injury in training.

"No action"

A damaged left ankle has ruled the Brazilian out of the contest, in which Hoffenheim will aim to bounce back from their first defeat of the season on Matchday 4.

The official Hoffenheim twitter feed confirmed that there will be "no action" for Firmino on Sunday after "he was injured in training today".

The news is hardly ideal for a Hoffenheim side which lost 6-2 against VfB Stuttgart last time out. Firmino has three goals and three assists already this season, and has been a key component in helping Hoffenheim to pick up five points.
