Piszczek undergoes groin operation
Dortmund - Borussia Dortmund's 28-year-old right back Lukasz Piszczek, who is out for several months following a hip operation, has used his spell on the sidelines to undergo surgery on his “weak groin”.
The successful operation, carried out on Thursday morning by Dr. Karl-Heinz Bauer in a private hospital in Dortmund, had been planned for some time. According to club doctor Markus Braun, it will not delay Piszczek’s expected comeback date.
Piszczek underwent hip surgery at the beginning of June after damaging his cartilage and is expected to be out of action for around five months.
