Hannover sign Prib
Hanover - Hannover 96 have completed their second signing of the summer with the capture of Edgar Prib from relegated club Greuther Fürth on a four-year deal. Both clubs have agreed to keep the financial details of the deal confidential.
Versatile midfielder
The 23-year-old has been with Fürth since 1996 and having worked his way up through the youth and reserve ranks, made his first team breakthrough in the 2009/10 season. Last term the versatile midfielder netted three goals in 27 Bundesliga appearances as Fürth finished bottom of the standings.
"Edgar Prib is a young player with Bundesliga experience who can play in a number of positions," said Hannover sporting director Dirk Dufner. "We went to a lot of trouble to sign him and are delighted he has chosen 96."
Head coach Mirko Slomka also commented: "In Edgar Prib we're getting a versatile midfielder who has already proven his qualities at Fürth. We're pleased to have secured another important component in our restructuring of the team."
