Abdellaoue follows Rausch to Stuttgart

Stuttgart - VfB Stuttgart have beefed up their forward line for the coming season with the signing of from Hannover 96.

"A big step forward"

The 27-year-old Norway international has penned a four-year contract with the beaten DFB Cup finalists and will officially be added to the books on 1 July, joining attacking midfielder Konstantin Rausch in making the move from Lower Saxony to the South West this summer.

"I'm happy to be in Stuttgart, I was delighted when the club showed an interest in me and was determined to move here," Abdellaoue said; "VfB are a great side with a great tradition, and a lot of good players. Coming here's a big step forward for me and I'm looking forward to the seasons ahead."

Stuttgart sporting director Fredi Bobic is equally happy "that we've been able to bring Moa on board. He's an internationally experienced player of exceptional quality and will give us considerably more options up front."

Proven scorer


Abdellaoue joined Hannover in the summer of 2010 from Norwegian outfit Valerenga and scored ten goals in his first season in the German top fllight. He made a total of 80 appearances for the Reds in the Bundesliga, finding the net 29 times. He has scored six times in 25 outings to date for Norway, and was voted the country's Player of the Year in 2011.
