Munich - Jupp Heynckes paid tribute to VfL Wolfsburg's efforts while praising his own side as they picked up yet another victory in their quest for a 22nd Bundesliga title. Here's what he and his counterparts made of the weekend's action.

VfL Wolfsburg 0-2 FC Bayern Munich

Dieter Hecking (Wolfsburg): "We threw everything possible into it. It was an even game, but of course Bayern make a lot out of a little. The second half could have gone either way, but we lacked the final ball. We’ve got to carry on the way we're going. You can see that the team has more stability.”

Jupp Heynckes (Bayern): "We played against a team who certainly played their best game of the season. Wolfsburg gave it everything they've got, which is why it was a difficult game for us. They were aggressive, they ran a lot and they were snapping at our heels. These are games you’ve got to win and we showed once again that we're a top class team.”

Borussia Dortmund 3-0 Eintracht Frankfurt

Jürgen Klopp (Dortmund): "The red card was hard to stomach after a game in midweek, but we did exceptionally well. It was a really strong performance. The goals weren’t bad either. They were really well created and the lads worked incessantly.”

Armin Veh (Frankfurt): "We lost to the better team. They finished us off early on. We had a chance to make it 2-1 before half-time, and things might have been different then, but Reus and Götze are fantastic players. Dortmund have a really good team who don’t have as many points as they should.”

Bayer 04 Leverkusen 2-1 FC Augsburg

Sascha Lewandowski (Leverkusen): "It was the uncomfortable game we expected. We may not have played as well as we have recently, but we were ruthless in defence and attack and the three points were important today.”

Markus Weinzierl (Augsburg): "We’re not unhappy. We could have gone ahead ourselves early on and then we had the chance to equalise, but instead we conceded the second goal on the counter attack.”

1899 Hoffenheim 0-1 VfB Stuttgart

Marco Kurz (Hoffenheim): "We really shouldn’t even be thinking about 15th place after a defeat like this. This was our worst game. There’s no excuse for conceding such an early goal in our situation. It was terrible. We never got back into the game after that. The second half was a bit better, but at the end of the day, that’s not enough. It’s going to be a very tense affair in Augsburg next week.”

Bruno Labbadia (Stuttgart): "We fought for this win and were very disciplined tactically. We've said over and over again that we need to remain calm, and my team showed great will power.”

1. FC Nuremberg 2-2 Hannover 96

Michael Wiesinger (Nuremberg): "All in all, it’s a lucky point. We started strongly in the first 20 minutes, but then we weren't as fluid. Just before they made it 2-1, Hannover started to look tired and we were pressuring them. The last five minutes vouch for our morale.”

Mirko Slomka (Hannover): "Well, it was a point again, which is the positive. But the game was very bitter in many respects. It’s the third time we've dropped points in the final seconds and we could write an instruction manual on how to do this. We just let them send the ball in, and we have nobody there to defend it.”
