Fürth - Relegation candidates Fürth and Augsburg each ended the game a man light but will be far more concerned by a point apiece which barely helps either at the foot of the table.

Mölders the man

Lasse Sobiech cancelled out Sascha Mölders' opener, before Fürth's Mergim Mavraj and Augsburg's Giovanni Sio saw red late on.

Marooned in the relegation zone after winning just once all season prior to kick-off, Augsburg made the first move as Mölders headed home Tobias Werner's free kick for his fourth Bundesliga goal of the season.

Fürth's Edgar Prib tried his luck from range moments later, but it wasn't until the 44th minute that the Clover Leaves really got home hearts beating when Sobiech's goalbound header was brilliantly clawed to safety by Augsburg stopper Mohamed Amsif.

Red mist

The hosts came out firing in the second half, eventually drawing level in the 69th minute. Zoltan Stieber's bullet header rattled the bar after Amsif flapped at a free kick and Sobiech did the rest, making his second chance of the afternoon count from close range.

A second yellow card for Fürth's Mavraj ensured a nail-biting finale, but a straight red to Augsburg's Sio evened things up as both sides were forced to settle for a rather unsatisfactory draw.
