Augsburg - It was an almost identical goal to that which helped solidify Hamburger SV's superb win over Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund on Matchday 4. Heung Min Son's crisp, curling effort at the SGL Arena on Friday night set HSV on their way to a 2-0 win over FC Augsburg and elevated them to a lofty fourth position in the table.

The strike was Son's fifth of the season and displayed all the attributes that the explosive South Korean talent has become famous for since debuting in the Bundesliga in 2010: acceleration, awareness and deadly finishing. With as many goals already this season as he managed in the entirety of last term, the easy-going 20-year-old is hungry for more success at HSV, spurred on by the wishes of his "demanding" father, as bundesliga.com found out after the game...

Question: Heung Min Son, are you actually left-footed then?

Heung-Min Son:[Laughs] Is that what Rafael van der Vaart told you? You never really know when it will come off, but I've definitely improved using my left foot.

Question: It was identical to the goal you scored against Dortmund, when you cut inside and let fly with your left foot. Is that something you've been working on in training?

Son: Yes of course. When you score it makes you happy. Scoring is fun, but it’s down to practice. You just have to keep on working hard to make sure you can do it regularly.

Question: Your father must be very proud of that goal. Have you worked on that a lot with him?

Son: Yes I have. I've scored twice like that this year, but the thing for me now is to keep working hard to keep improving.

Question: You now have as many goals this season already as you managed the whole of last term. Where do you think that will take you this year?

Son: Scoring is important, but even more important is picking up points, and now we’re fourth in the league. Tolgay [Arslan] and I have taken a picture of the table and I've saved it as my screensaver on my mobile phone as something to keep us motivated!

Question: What does your father say? Is he satisfied with your performances, or does he still strive for more?

Son: He is quite demanding, I think everyone knows that! He's always a little critical. He'll be happy tonight, but will urge me to forget about this game quickly and start preparing for next week. That's just his way.

Question: Next week you play away at FC Bayern Munich. Is that a game that you're especially looking forward to?

Son: Of course, they're a great club. It's a game that I've been waiting for and I'm very excited, but we'll really have to show some fight.

Question: Bayern are almost on another planet right now. Is that all the more reason to show that they can be beaten?

Son: Yes, if we give it our best like we did in the games against Dortmund and Hannover, then we can definitely beat Bayern too.

Question: Your reputation is growing with every goal you score...

Son: As I said, I enjoy scoring goals and I get a lot of great help from my team-mates. I feel very happy here.

Question: Could we be watching the new Uwe Seeler at HSV?

Son:[Laughs] I don't know about that. First I have to score a few more goals, but we'll wait and see what happens in the future.
