Munich - The DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga have further enhanced the support for their international licensees, fans and viewers with the launch of the new www.bundesliga.com website, an exclusive site with its own international editorial team, bringing the latest Bundesliga news to fans throughout the world in the English language.

Fans and partners of German football can now enjoy a tailored English-language service, keeping them up to date on all the developments in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 with exclusive interviews, videos and stories aimed at an international audience.

"bundesliga.com is a contemporary and country-specific offer with which we can continue to establish the Bundesliga brand internationally. We will continue to move forward and address new target groups in important target markets abroad. We are also playing a one-two pass with our international licensees," said DFL chief marketing officer Tom Bender.

Among other features, the coverage of the new site incorporates reports and portraits of players and clubs in the Bundesliga, live ticker updates and statistics, both during and after matches, matchday galleries and videos and player/manager and expert interviews, chiefly with internationally-renowned figures. bundesliga.com also provides information on Germany as a footballing nation.

Polish and Japanese service to follow

Parallel to the so-called global-version' of bundesliga.com in the English language, the DFL furthermore intends to have language-specific websites for target markets such as Poland (expected at the end of September 2012) and Japan (December 2012).
