SpVgg Greuther Fürth secured a top-half finish courtesy of a 3-1 win over SV Sandhausen at the Stadion am Laubenweg.

Goals from Sebastian Freis and Ante Vukusic put the hosts 2-0 ahead after 19 minutes, but Denis Linsmayer scored three minutes before the interval to give Sandhausen hope.

The visitors improved after the restart, but Veton Berisha finished coolly past Sandhausen keeper Marco Knaller to seal a win which lifts Fürth up to ninth in the table. Sandhausen, who started the season so promisingly, end the campaign in 13th.
