MSV Duisburg gave themselves a lifeline in their battle to beat the drop after coming from two goals down to draw 2-2 with SV Sandhausen on the penultimate weekend of the Bundesliga 2 season.
The writing appeared to be on the wall for Duisburg when quick-fire goals from Philipp Klingmann and Korbinian Vollmann gave Sandhausen a 2-0 lead with 15 minutes remaining. The Zebras refused to bury their heads in the sand, however, and duly reduced the deficit through substitute Nico Klotz in the 80th minute.
Giorgi Chanturia levelled three minutes later as Duisburg moved into the relegation play-off spot ahead of next weekend's meeting with RB Leipzig. All they have to do is match the results of bottom two clubs SC Paderborn 07 and FSV Frankfurt 1899 on the final day to avoid automatic relegation.
