- Paderborn come from behind for point in Heidenheim
- Bakalorz wastes chance to win it for Westphalians
- Draw leaves Paderborn in relegation danger
SC Paderborn 07 remain in relegation danger after picking up only a point in a 1-1 draw at 1. FC Heidenheim.
Robert Leipertz gave the hosts a dream start with a goal in the second minute, volleying in Arne Feick's cross at the far post. Heidenheim had numerous occasions to double their lead, but they were punished for their profligacy when Paderborn levelled with Marvin Bakalorz's effort.
Paderborn then had chances to go in front, having disrupted Heidenheim's rhythm, with the crossbar coming to the hosts' rescue. Jan Zimmermann made an outstanding save from Bakalorz late on as the East Westphalians invested more into finding a winner, but they were disappointed with a draw which does little to help them in their battle against the drop.
