Simon Terodde scored his 20th goal of the Bundesliga 2 season, but VfL Bochum 1848 were held to a 1-1 draw by Karlsruher SC on Matchday 31.

VfL Bochum 1848 1-1 Karlsruher SC

Bochum started powerfully, and twice could have taken the lead in the opening stages when Marco Terrazzino shot wide before visiting keeper Rene Vollath pushed Anthony Losilla’s header onto the post.

Gertjan Verbeek’s side continued in positive fashion well into the second period, and were rewarded when Terodde produced a fine finish from just inside the box in the 58th minute to open the scoring. Karlsruhe, who had offered little throughout, found an equaliser against the run of play with five minutes remaining, however, when substitute Dimitris Diamantakos powered home from the penalty spot.
