VfL Bochum struck a late equaliser to snatch a 2-2 draw at home to Greuther Fürth on Sunday.

Niko Gießelmann’s wonder strike gave the visitors the ideal start, but two minutes before the break, Bochum’s in-form forward Simon Terodde levelled with his 18th goal of the season.

Veton Berisha restored Fürth’s lead, but Nando Rafael struck in added time, which was also peppered with red cards for Tim Hoogland and Jürgen Gjasula as both sides ended with ten men.  

The point leaves Bochum nine points adrift of third place – the relegation/promotion play-off place – with seventh-placed Fürth now all but out of the running to go up.
